Start/Finish: Playa Juncalito/ Puerto Escondido
Trip Length: 8 days |

To keep your clothing and equipment dry and free of salt, you will need to fit everything into waterproof dry bags or plastic cases. These are available at most paddling stores. Cascade Designs make a few lines of dry bags. We recommend either the clear See bags or colored Baja bags. Size 20 is the largest that will fit into the kayakÕs hatches. A few smaller ones are better than one large one. Pelican Products produce a fine line of waterproof cases for cameras, binoculars, sunglasses etc. Test your packing before you leave
Storage space is limited and most people tend to bring more than they really need. Most days you will be paddling in shorts and a T-shirt. Long sleeves and pants will shield the sun. A fleece jacket and a toque are needed on cool nights. Quick dry clothing is recommended. |
